Broken down car

Last week my car broke down. I was going to run a quick errand on my lunch break, so I was headed to the freeway. I had mentioned to Pedar a few days before that my battery light kept coming on. He said, “We just replaced your battery.” I said, “Well, the light keeps coming on.” I don’t like car stuff. I hate not knowing what the heck the mechanic is saying when they try to explain what is wrong.

It all started with wanting to get rid of the office armoire. You all know how it happens. You move a piece of furniture inside and tell yourself it is just for a little bit, you’ll get what you REALLY want soon. Then life happens and other projects and BOOM, next thing you know it has been THREE or 20 years and you still have the furniture that you never liked inside your house.

You mean so much to me!

Hey you. I just wanted to stop and let you know that I wish I had more time to show you how much you mean to me. I admire those that have weekly, monthly catch-up appointments. I wish I could stop what I'm doing and hug you. I want to know what is going on in your life. I want to be able to tell you that it will all be OK. I wish I could drop you off a casserole and some cookies. I wish I could help you with a project. Pedar affectionately calls me the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) because I pay our bills. It isn't difficult to keep organized because we share one checking account and have two savings accounts. One for household and one for travel and everything else. We both put money into our retirement accounts and we finally set up automatic payments (although tiny) towards the boys college fund.
