Hello! I’m Nora.
Well, hello there. Welcome to my little cozy corner. I’m Nora - blogger, gardener, and do-it-yourselfer turned designer. I LOVE showing people the power of paint and a few perennials can do to bring beauty to a space. Small changes can make a HUGE impact on your home and garden. I hope to demonstrate that anything is possible and if you have a dream for your space, with a little effort, you can bring it to life. I hope you think to yourself, “Why not me? If they can do it, so can I!” Heck yeah you can!
A bit more about me:
In 2002 my husband Pedar and I bought our first fixer-upper home. It was a 1955 ranch and was in terrible disrepair. We landscaped both yards and fixed the home till she shined like a penny. We sold that home in 2013 and moved to our second fixer-upper. Our current house was built in 1950 and has larger yards to beautify and needs a ton of updating. The time and energy we put into our home and gardens enrich our lives. With every task, I learn so much about time and project management. I learn a lot about myself and my partnership with my husband too. We support one another through every hurdle.
Plant fun
I’ve been planting and landscape designing for over twenty years. After a lot of failures and wins, I have learned what will stay alive during our crazy hot summers in Sacramento, California. I love helping people design their outdoor spaces.
Not only are plants beautiful, but these gorgeous green girls can filter pollutants and reduce levels of harmful toxins in any indoor space by making the air cleaner for us to breathe. I think plants are living artwork and can be used to decorate and elevate any space.
