It is too darn hot

Last night was back to school at Arden Middle School. Pedar and I spent 15 minutes with each of his teachers and enjoyed a walk around his campus. It was fun seeing all the parents and being able to see what his day is like logistically. He has great teachers. I can see why he is so excited about Arden. We got home from the school event and started doing the night routine to prepare for the next day. My friend had sent me a note using some of the lyrics from a song we performed together in high school to make fun of our heat wave. The song is, "Too Darn Hot, " from the musical Kiss Me Kate.  I started humming the song and surprised myself by remembering the lyrics.  Erik recorded me singing the song while making lunches. He loves it when I sing and I'm grateful he does!
